How do you forgive someone who hurt you, or who knowingly brought your biggest fears to life?

I hear you have to forgive the person, so that you can actually move on with your life and be a happier person.

But...what if you can't seem to forgive people that did you wrong over the course of 10 years? How do you let go?How do you forgive someone who hurt you, or who knowingly brought your biggest fears to life?
I've heard that forgiveness is actually being able to wish good toward the person who has wronged you. We are supposed to forgive and move on, however, that does not mean that we set ourselves up to get hurt from that situation again.

Forgive, but don't forget...remove yourself from that environment and go on with your life.

We will always be haunted by things and people that have hurt us, but we do not have to let them have control over how we live the rest of our lives.

Live your life with confidence and try to keep looking ahead instead of looking back. Sometimes going through bad things can give us more discernment and insight, therefore helping us find and enjoy the better things in life. How do you forgive someone who hurt you, or who knowingly brought your biggest fears to life?
People think your mind rules you were as the truth is you rule your mind. It is up to you when you forgive you put what they did in the back of your mind. Your brain is like a cabinet, you can take out what you want and store away what you don't want. Be determined that the next time you think about someone who did you wrong that you will turn your mind to something else. Put on some music or go out or read a book. You have to keep your mind occupied with positive things instead of negative things. The moment you start thinking of the wrong, your mind will stay fixed on that wrong. That's why you need to shift your thinking.
Forgiveness is the one for the hardest things to do. Maybe seek counseling. Try to remember that everyone needs forgiveness at some point in their lives.
