How do you know what you want to do with your life??

in twenty five days, i turn 20-not a teenager anymore. and i have wanted to be a flight attendant for as long as i can remember but now im having second thoughts because i dont want to have to move. im looking online for everything from college to be a dental hygenist to schools to learn to do hair. im so confused! ah STRESS. so how did you figure out what you wanted to do with your life? are there any suggestions on maybe something i could do that i havent thought of? thanksHow do you know what you want to do with your life??
First of all, nobody ever really knows (100%), what they want to do with their life. If they say they do, they are liars! They may have an idea, but no one knows for sure.

In our life time, everyone one of us will have atleast 3 careers. Thats a fact!

So quit sweating yourself. Give yourself a break and relax.

The world is going to put enough pressure on you, don't do it to yourself!

Find a good paying entry level job, with insurance and tution assitance. Entry level so their is room to grow. Medical insurance so if you get really sick, God forbid, your butt is covered. Tution assitance so you can go to night school and educate yourself to prepare for a higher paying position or even a career change.

But get it in your head, those are the 3 most important things you look for. Entry level with room to grow, medical insurance and tution assitance.

At your age or anyones age for a matter of fact. Getting a job with those 3 things, is the best thing you could ever do for yourself. Don't jump at the money in a dead end job.

Always remeber, a JOB is a place you go to earn money, to be able to do the things you really want to.

A job is WORK, not a hobby.

Get that straight in your head right now!!!!!!!!

So knowing it's a place your HAVE to go to. Why not get the most in return. God Bless. How do you know what you want to do with your life??
What are your interestsListen to your heart.

I have a shall we say interesting collection of careers and jobs.

I have enjoyed each of them and each one i used the skills and experience on another job....

Relax , breathe take a vacation, visit some friends

Job shadow some people; if possible in some of the fields you are interested in

Follow your heart and do what you love. be happy.

I have prayed; winged it and had a bumpy landing or too.

My motto is no guts no glory

But I have had some funnn!!!!,
I fell into teaching because my mama was a teacher. I adore my job!

This is what I think.

I think you ought to go to college and either learn to be a counselor or a psychologist.

I think you could help other teenaged guys and girls, either in a middle school setting or a high school setting.

:)
Print ';What should I do with my life?'; with your normal writing hand.

Now PRINT the answer with your opposite hand. Do not think. - just let your hand go i.e. automatic writing. It will go very slowly - if it doesn't go very slowly then you won't get the right answer. Don't think about what you have printed until you are completely finished.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

If you give feedback, I can explain what happened or at least what should have happened.
How do you know?

When you realize that much of what you think you want to do is basically what your parents, guidance counselor, minister, and other authority figures tell you what you're supposed to want to do. It's a matter of getting away from all those messages and asking yourself, deep down, what you and you alone want to do with your life...
My ex-girlfriend, the crocodile, is gonna have my baby any day. So I'm soon to be a papa. Congratulate me!

Oh yeah, but I'm gonna marry KerilynDuck. That's what I wanna do with my life.

AFLAAC!
What you enjoy and what you feel is right.

I'm 16 and I figured out a year ago (about) that I want to be a psychiatrist.

I find learning about the human mind very interesting and dreams, too, and it pays really good in my opinion!

You help people suffering with mental problems as well.

I love it. :)

Just think about something you're really into, something that fascinates you and something you'd like to study.
I took the skills and interests I had and found a career that combined my aptitudes and which interested me. There are career councilors. You are going to want to find out what you want to do that will interest you. What about flight attendant appealed to you? What aspect can you do from one place?
you'll never know till you know.
You are pretty young still... flight attendant can still be a career for someday, when are ready to move.

I think you just have to go with your passions and what your gut tells you. What I WANT to do with my life...art stuff, much of it computer related... 3D animation for film and film editing are at the top. Still working on making that a reality someday though (mostly just some smaller indy projects with other people right now), since I don't live in an area that's very good for that and can't afford to move elsewhere at this point in time.
Right now, work on opening as many doors as possible. Get a good education. Get a degree in anything that you like. You don't have to stick with that line of work. I worked in an ins co next to aerospace engineers, etc.

Once you have your degree, you can try different jobs until you find one you like. If you don't have the education, you are limiting yourself (closing doors).

Have you considered teaching? You probably would be able to work in your same area and not move.
One thing you might want to try is talk to people in different jobs that you think you might be interested in and ask them how they feel about their job. What are the advantages and disadvantages to their job. They will have insight into these jobs and tell you things you might not have considered. And remember that none of these choices have to be forever. I have changed professions several times now and who knows I might change again. Your interests can change (and probably will) and there is always a way to change your job field as well if you really want to.
I always wanted to be a psychologist but my dad talked me out of it. So I changed my major three times and eventually I dropped out of school, got married and had a baby at 22, had twins at 25 and thought long and hard and realized I STILL wanted to be a psychologist. So I went back to school.
pray 2 God 4 help in your decision, he will lead u on the right path.

good luck i'll pray 4 u
idk...i take life as it comes..i wing it
College is a great answer. It will expose you to lots of different areas -- and you may find that you really enjoy something weird like economics or psychology. And, as a side benefit, it will be easier to get work in almost any field you might end up in if you have a degree. Plus, there are lots of parties and it is lots more fun than HS. Oh yeah, an early ';Happy Birthday!';
